Brielle and Garemy decided to elope in the White Mountains because of their love of fall foliage. I too, am OBSESSED with fall in New England and I was so on board with their idea. Mt Washington is where we landed on and I looooove this mountain because you can literally drive all the way to the top! You can hike too if you hate yourself and love suffering, but the drive is literally 20 minutes long and you’re at the top, just marveling at all of the beautiful fall colors.
Brielle rented a cute ass little cabin in the woods for them to get ready in. There was NO SERVICE here and no proper gps directions to get there, so it was seriously a miracle that me, the florist or the Hair and Makeup gal even ended up at the right spot! But luck was on our side and we all ended up at the tiny cabin in the Vermont woods to help these guys get ready!
Brielle OF COURSE had to have her Doberman there with her for the elopement, and this dog actually had a pretty important role in the proposal as well! Garemy decided to propose to Brielle on the top of Mt Morgan. When they got to the top of the mountain, it was pretty buggy so they quickly headed back down and Garemy didn’t get a chance to ask his question! On the way down, he put the ring on the doggo’s collar and told Brielle that she should check him for ticks just to make sure he was okay. She DIDN’T EVEN SEE THE RING and checked her pupper for bugs. Garemy had to say, “is that one there on his neck?” for her to finally spot the diamond! So obviously Duke had to be at the wedding as well.
After the first look, we all jumped in the car and drove up to Mt Washington. We actually got in for free, (elopement day perks!) and we got to listen to the free cd tour as well so we learned alllllll the facts about the mountain as we drove up its roads! At the top, they said their vows and we romped around in the fields and trails! Until we got to too cold and then we headed back down. BEST DAY EVER.
