Second up, MOUNT RAINIER. Honestly the most iconic place in Washington. So iconic, we even put this mountain on all of our license plates!! This place is covered in snow most of the year, but July to September is when all of it melts and we are rewarded with a PLETHORA of trails that cover the mountain. Here’s all the ‘tails!

Location - Mount Rainier is located about 2 hours from the Seatac airport, and I would totally suggest renting an a-frame cabin to stay at while you explore the mountain! There’s so many cute ones that you can get, and its way more convenient than commuting to and from Seattle!

Iceland

Okay guys, have we all seen The Secret Life of Walter Mitty? How much did you want to go to Iceland after seeing that movie? SO MUCH, right? Me too. Iceland, often called ‘the Land of Fire and Ice’, is literally one of the most gorgeous places that I have ever been to, and I can’t think of a more adventurous place to elope. It has GORGEOUS waterfalls, breathtaking coastlines, stunning iceberg lagoons and amazing northern lights. PLUS I have been able to get super cheap flights to there from all over the US. Iceland is one of my favorite places in the world, and is the perfect place for an adventurous couple to exchange vows.

But before you run off to Iceland, you should be know a few things about this magical land so you can be prepared. I would love to give you some tips about this country that I love so you can have the best Iceland elopement ever!

Skógafoss is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in all of Iceland. It is located on the Skógá River in the south of Iceland at the cliff marking the former coastline. This waterfall is STUNNING and you are able to view it from above and below the mist, making for a very wet viewing experience. An elopement here would be SO magical and SUCH an experience.

The Diamond Beach is a strip of black sand belonging to the greater Breiðamerkursandur glacial plain, located by Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon on the South Coast of Iceland. This place is so cool to visit because many icebergs wash up onto the shore of the black sand beach, creating this amazing contrast. The beach stretches on for miles so its easy to find a private place to elope here, but be warned!  Londrangar and the hill Svalthufa in the Snæfellsjökull National Park are the remains of what used to be a crater, and has since eroded to its currant shape.  This church is such an amazing place for an elopement, so private and beautiful, not close to anything at all. The land around the church is also gorgeous, covered in strange grass and puffy moss! The Buðir black church is one of the three black churches on the island. They're apparently black because they're painted with pitch on the exterior, just like the hull of a boat. This protects it from the harsh Icelandic elements. It works pretty well, I guess, because these buildings have survived for over 100 years!
