Me and these cute humans met up at Lake Cushman for their adventure session! They’re from the south, so they were craving some tall trees and mountain views and Lake Cushman is such a beautiful place to go for that!

Aubrei and Johnny are the freaking cutest. They have huge hearts for adventure, and they were in Washington for one of their every-four-years trips. (Is there a word that means every 4 years? A google search for another time….) Aubrei had been begging Johnny to take her to Seattle for the longest time. They’re from Houston, so they were dying to see some tallass trees and see some scenery that Texas just doesn’t have. So when they got engaged (after being together for EIGHT YEARS!!) they began to plan their trip to the PNW! These guys have been together forever, and are literally best friends. They met in Aubrei’s senior year of high school and Johnny’s freshman year of college. They had one friend in common who had been begging both of them individually to go to her dance performance and watch her perform. They both ended up going and meeting each other and it was love at first sight. They ended up going on a date after that, and Aubrei FELL in his form, and Johnny says that he also FELL. For her. Lol so cheesy. So cute. I’m dead.

So when Johnny proposed, he knew it had to be good. They had been together for EIGHT YEARS, so it had been building to this for a while. He told Aubrei that they were going to his company Christmas party so she would dress nice. Then he had FIFTY of their closest friends and family go to the place where he was going to pop the question. He drove her to this field of Christmas lights and surprised her in front of a tree filled with colorful lights. Aubrei LOVES Christmas lights (or any lights in general, they’re getting married in a bar FILLED with lights!) He proposed to her there in front of the tree, and then all of their hidden friends came out to celebrate with them! He said that she had always told him from the beginning, “just propose to me, take me to Seattle and I will die of happiness” LADIES GET YOU A BOY WHO LISTENS.
