Exploring the Tabernas Desert with Lisa and Gonzales was the BEST! We really wanted to go here because movies like The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, A fistful of Dollars, and Indiana Jones have all been filmed here! We actually parked close to the fake western town that has been a set for so many iconic films! We then ventured into the desert, and climbed a few hills(?). Or dunes? What do you call these things? Hills. We’re just going to call them hills.

So I was terrified that there were going to be snakes here. It just LOOKS like a place that would have snakes! So I probably asked Gon at least ten times “Is that a snake?!”. But it never was. So even if there may BE snakes out in this desert, we didn’t see any. THANK FREAKING GOD. I would have made it halfway to Madrid on foot if I had even GLIMPSED a snake.

Lisa and Gon are both architects and they actually met at work on Lisa’s first day on the job! She actually didn’t really like Gon at first because he didn’t help her find a notebook when she was looking for one and so she immediately wrote him off!! After a few weeks though, they began hanging out and working on a friendship. Then, one day, they went to see a movie. Lisa thought that is was a date, but Gon didn’t (even tho he SO liked her!). So they set up a SECOND (first) date after the movie hangout. But the day of the second (first) date, Lisa was jogging and GOT HIT BY A FREAKING CAR!! (literally my biggest fear while running!) Gon rushed to her side in the hospital and stayed with her throughout her entire recovery! And by the time she had healed, they were firmly a couple.

These guys were the cutest ever, and I had the best time hanging out with them in the dessert. I love exploring new places with my couples, and this was one of the coolest adventures that I’ve gotten to go to! I’m so happy that I got to experience such a beautiful place with such dope people!
